Default dive tours in Maui

Hi,

I'm getting my open water Naui cert in Maui. I'll be near Lahaina. Any
recommendations regarding shops out there? Lahaina Divers? Happy
Divers Maui?

Thanks.

Ugh. Either Mike Severns or Ed Robinson. We've dived once with
Lahaina Divers and it was an okay cattle boat. All our other dives
have been with Mike (dating back to 1990). ER seems to run a similar
operation. Twelve max to a boat and skilled DMs who are more than just
nannies.

Mike and Ed both prefer experienced divers. A newly certified diver might
be better off with a nanny

Neither Mike Severns or Ed Robinson will take a newly certified diver
(which is one reason they're so enjoyable to dive with if you're
reasonably experienced). As much as I hate Lahaina divers, a newbie
would probably have a decent time with them. I haven't dove with Happy
Divers so I can't comment on their service.

Yup. Missed that point. I saw Lahaina Divers and went Ugh.

I think Lahaina Divers is one of the better cattle boats. Damning
with faint praise.
