Default Sipadan (with a kid)

As we'll be visiting Borneo in July I thought of going to Mabul for 4 days.
I've been using Google and have found quite some info (also on this NG),
but still I need some advice.
Our 9-year old daughter will coming along, so we're looking for the best
operator/resort to saty with a kid. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I have only stayed at Borneo Divers and I wouldn't think it particularly kid
friendly.

However, Sipidan Water Village does have child care (babysitting) and so may
have a kids activities program.

Kapalai, also has babysitting and many other onsite activites.

Best of luck finding the right place for your family.

Let me know how it works out and I'll also look forward to the trip report.

I would not want to take a "kid" to Kapalai, the whole thing is on stilts
above water.....i would be paranoid.......

I wouldn't bet on it. I'm 37 and I still occasionally fall over the side.

You probably drink more than the 9 year old.

That's true. If they have a good 15 year old at the bar, I'll have a shot
of that too. Especially if you're buying.

Speaking of which, I did get to sample some Bacardis in PR that aren't
normally (or ever) found in the mainland U.S., including their 8 year old.
This notwithstanding the fact that I was barred from the distillery itself
on the grounds that it was Good Friday. I did, however, get to see Jesus
being carried down the street in a glassed-in casket followed by a giant
assembly of speakers blaring something in Spanish that was undoubtedly
ransom terms directed toward the Bacardi family and/or the Pope. What those
crazy Catholics will do when you cut off their rum!

But is joined to Mabul Island as opposed to Kapalai which is literaly on
stilts.

I dont think i would take a nine year old to Sipadan or Mabul, just not
that kinda place....and another, suppose everyone took their nine year old
with them, the other guests would have a nightmare time.....no, leave the
kids at home.

Maybe SMART would be better? At least they have a pool there?
