Newsgroups: rec.travel.cruises, rec.scuba.locations, rec.scuba From: "Lee Bell" <leeb...@ix.netcom.com> Date: Thu, 01 Sep 2005 11:48:17 GMT "Rosalie B." wrote <snipped the two irrelevant lines cited by Lee that I had already fully responded to grandma> Lee popped into the argument grandma Rosalie and I were having on the topic of "dress code" on airlines. I said there's NONE that required coat and tie as grandma initially claimed, and later Leeclaimed to be no athletic shoes or denim. grandma was wrong on ALL counts, and then continued to argue that her hubby CHOSE to wear what he USED to where when there was some dress codes (I would have assumed the 19th century, but there wasn't commercial flights then ... so the best I could gather was that grandpa chose to wear his 1940 coat when he was on a flight). Lee> Ask him about EPIRBs. What's the significance of THAT, you may wonder. You'll see the light, very soon. discussion I was having with someone else, 2 months before, and made the SAME curious remark on something that was entirely unrelated to the subject of the disucssion, regarding the subject of "certification" in scuba. Newsgroups: rec.scuba.locations From: "Lee Bell" <leeb...@ix.remove.netcom.com> Date: Tue, 12 Jul 2005 11:10:36 GMT Subject: Re: which diver are you ? Lee> I wonder if Bob has figured out what an EPIRB is yet. ROTFLMAO! Lee had his head in the hole where the sun don't shine for so long that (1) He had to dig deeeeeep to come up with a topic that was FIVE YEARS old, discussed in a listserv LIST, and NOT in rec.scuba.locations, or any of the three newsgroups. (2) He didn't realized that he had already been thoroughly trashed on the EPIRB topic the LAST time he brought it out and I had already responded on July 13: http://tinyurl.com/bdws6 Well folks, thanks to DING-DONG Lee, you now know more about EPIRBs and mini-EPIRBs than you ever wanted to know. And DONG-DONG still has his head buried (voluntarily) in the hole where the sun don't shine. -- Bob. |
