Oh, good.

Now that you're here, we can all get along.

You can teach us how.

I'm not here to teach anyone anything, i thought this was a discussion
forum that discussed different dive locations and the like.

But human beings are different in their outlook and beliefs, their
attitudes etc, just think what a dull place this would be if we all
thought the same. People are going to have different views on things and
long may they do so, just because someone dissagrees with you or me does
not make them wrong, nor does it make me right.

We should all be more tolerant of others beliefs and points of view, and
anyone that dissagrees with that is a *^$$* (***)

Most of us do. One, in particular, doesn't.

At least two, Lee.

Ron Lee was quoted in a newsgroup post to call someone an "asshole".

Lee Bell was quoted in rec.scuba to call Reef Fish an "asshole's
asshole".

And BOTH Ron Lee and Lee Bell had been preaching sanctimoneously
for YEARS against name-calling.

morgan, you're beginning to see the true colour of some of the most
dispicable and idiotic characters in rec.scuba who seldom EVER had
anything to post about SCUBA or SCUBA locations.

-- Bob.

Just finished taking a quick at Grand Cayman, where I had visited every
year in the past 15 years.

Wait...

Then why don't you show us how, by tolerating us?

Oh, wait, we have a better idea.

See if you can come up with it.

You're right. In fact, it's almost certainly more than two. You, me and
Ron make three and I've hardly started. Right now, however, I have
something better to do, so I'm going to do it.

You may have been the first person I read who suggested that ad hominum
attacks were inappropriate. Apparently, you only apply that to others.
While I have, on occasion, suggested that name calling was a poor idea, my
normal take on the subject is that "he or she who first resorts to name
calling, lost the point." I still think so. I've not noticed Ron Lee
preaching on the subject much, but since he's not normally preaching to me,
there's a good chance it's my failure to notice.

Come on, Bob, you're not all that bad.

I just find it boring and tiresome, we tell our children not to do it as
its childish, (thats a kinda contradiction i know)

Imagine sitting on the dive boat after a dive, talking to fellow divers
and discovering that the 6'-6" guy next to you is the guy you called a
stupid ****.....then imagine he realises that it was you who called him
such.

Best to keep such remarks to oneself meethinks.

But, as i say....we are all different and behave in different ways....its
what makes the world go round i guess.

I hope you also tell your children not to drink, do drugs, use profanity,
have sex, etc. Some pleasures should be reserved for adults.

It's not just when they're 6'6". Tall skinny guys aren't too scary. But
wait until you find that your new dive buddy is not only that tall but also
weighs over 300 lbs and you've made sexually suggestive posts about his
niece or sister or both.

Hardly. That's what bodyguards are for.

The world is flat.
