| Yes, I dove with Ed Robinson when in Maui recently. The operation and his staff were wonderful. Very knowledgeable and helpful, when needed. I would not dive with anyone else were I returning to Maui. NJDiver wrote: > Can anyone recomend a dive shop in Maui? > |

Mike Severns diving is right next to Ed Robinson at Kihei, and offers the same quality and level of professionallism. I wouldn't hesitate to dive with either of these operators. The only drawback (such that it is), is that they don't like to take anyone with less than 25 dives experience. This weeds out some of the truely clueless, and let's them offer better sites and much more freedom than most of the cattleboat operators out of Lahaina. http://www.mikesevernsdiving.com/ http://www.maui.net/~robinson/erd1.htm € NJDiver wrote: € > Can anyone recomend a dive shop in Maui? € > € |

Twelve divers max. Marine biologists as dive masters. Closer to most of the dive spots (it's an "easy" 30 minute cruise from Lahaina to Kihei). The cattleboats won't do dives like Molokini Backside (which really takes two dives to do properly). Columbus Day, 1992 we did Molokai. Cattleboats weren't doing that one. Severns (and I assume Robinson) let you dive your own profile. The only restriction is to ascend as a buddy team. But at the experience level of most of the divers I've run into on their boats, that's not an issue. > >Dan Bracuk >If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure. > >----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet News==---- >http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups >----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- -- dillon Could have been is in the past Could be is in the future There is only the now |
