They segment the community, are censored, and aren't around for very long. USENET has been around since the dawn of time - all postings can be searched and if I or anyone else dissapears it will still be here. If something happens to your friend all the knowledge that was redirected to that forum will be lost forever when the site gets shutdown. If I was on his/her board my posts can be *poof* deleted because i took a critical position, not something that encourages open discussion. I'll stick with the democracy/anarchy of NNTP. -lance smith |

| The website has been there for a number of years and has only just started a forum. It's not moderated either. Many of the postings have some pretty messed up words inserted willy-nilly in them making the discussions almost un-intelligible (is that a word?).
