| Mike, Hope your weather is better than ours. It was a beautiful sunny day, but winds blowing east to west at 30, seas 4-5, and they cancelled the snorkel tour. Amber said the conditions were the same for her when she was there ( don't know when), but same as always,; you don't know until you are there. The next day Coz was flat in the am, and picked up to 2-3 by afternoon. Next day, Belize was 4-5 on the outside, 1-2 foot chop at Shark/Ray Alley. Going to and from Belize to Coz the boat was rock'in, not so much from the waves, but the wind. The outward bound trip from Belize, they (ships crew) were reporting eight foot seas, but by the time we hit upper Yucatan it leveled out. First of all, here's your Caribbean Hi Resolution Satellite , or HIRES: http://intellicast.com/LocalWeather/...aribbeanHIRES/ here is the visible loop for direction/rotation: http://www.intellicast.com/Local/USN...=StormCenter&p rodgrp=SatelliteImagery&product=CaribbeanVisibleLo op&prodnav=none&pid=none and most importantly the wind forecast..there are others for 24, and 48 hours under the Storm Center, Tropical Heading, this is the 72 hour forecast. http://www.intellicast.com/Local/USN...g=StormCenter& prodgrp=Tropical&product=Wind72Hour&prodnav=none&p id=none Hope this helps,,,,,,,,,,,but planning is a bitch. We planned two months in advance, and the maps didn't help other than to know what to expect...we were going to be there anyway. What the hell, here's an Owens Roberts weather report for GC: http://www.wunderground.com/global/stations/78384.html George "Mike A" <nospamtwomikea@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:fwMJa.4660$e26.1738@rwcrnsc52.ops.asp.att.net ... > Thanks for the replies - Grand Princess stops their every other week and I > heard the diving supposed to be like Coz was 30 yrs ago. Since we are diving once again GC the day before and Coz the day after - I thought - why miss a day! I'll e-mail the guy Amber recommended - believe me - my wife & I don't care about "luxury" dives - we have 500+ dives and most weren't. We just love to dive! Thanks, Mike |
