| I will be in Maui last week of July in Kihei. Any dive operator advice (recommendations and warnings?) Is a dive trip to Lanai worth going for? I will be grateful for any comments. Tomek |

We dove Lanai with Extended Horizons and were not impressed with either the dive or the dive op. The next day we dove with Ed Robinson's (out of Kihei) and were so impressed that we nixed the Road to Hana the following day in favor of more Ed Robinson's. Diving the back wall of Molokini Crater both days certainly made a good impression on us, but Ed's operation is first rate as well. Our DM, Amy, was incredibly and contagiously enthusiastic, and the briefings on the aquatic life were very thorough, entertaining, and full of arcane trivia. |

Slow paced, lots of bottom time and they find interesting "sfuff". We're usually asked if we have any site preferences. -- dillon The pen may be mightier than the sword, but a .sig never beat a SIG |

| We dove with Maui Diamond II the 2 times I went there. It was fine, clean boat, friendly staff, refreshments (fruits and drinks I believe) after the dive and a freshwater hose to rinse off with. The back wall supposedly has more large animals but we didn't get to go. Supposedly the current was too strong or waters were too rough that day, I forgot what the reason was. I still wanted to go, it was the only reason I booked the dive since I dove the inside of the crater the day before. Look around for advertisements, they're all over, you might save a few $ if you find a coupon. Have a great trip, it's beautiful there!
