Default Diving in Boston?

I'll be in Boston for 3 days next week, is it worth lugging up Scuba gear
(driving) to dive Boston? I did some quick research on the net, the only
thing I found 1 Scuba shop, the Boston Scuba Company and a boat that runs to
Cape Ann.
Thought and comments much appreciated.

Thanks!

In my opinion yes.

When I was there last summer I drove about 30 or so minutes north of
the city to Glouster where I did some very nice dives with Cape Ann
Divers.

The Chester Polling (spelling?), a wreck in about 100ft was a lot of
fun. http://www.capeanndivers.com

I highly recommend them. You should also do a web search for the MIT
scuba club. They have some good info on their web site.

Have fun!

Bob

Thanks for the input. I will have a car so it wouldn't be too bad. I just
wish that Cape Ann dive boat had a hose I can use to rince off my gear. Oh
well, I guess I'll have to lug everything into the hotel room!

there are quite a few dive shops in the Cape Ann area, which is "North Shore."
You'd need a rental car.

If you're willing to drive a bit further -- maybe 1 or 1-1/2 hours --
try York Beach SCUBA, York Beach, ME, 207-363-3330

I don't mind the cold, I dive in the NYC area, it's probably very similar.
Prefer not to drive around if I don't have to.

Thanks for the input!
