| I've just done my Open Water in Malta and already planning my next diving trip! I've been thinking of doing my Advanced Open Water in Crete, probably Agios Nikolaos or Elounda. I'd be most grateful for any info / recommendations that anyone can provide regarding these locations and underwater scenery 'cause I was thinking to do the Digital Underwater Photographer Course. Many thanks in advance. |

Stefanos will see you are ok. Based at Minos Beach Hotel Underwater centre is closer to the town. Diver1 |

I went to Agios Nikolaos in April. I usually dive on the south coast of the UK and this was my first time in the Med. The diving was OK but there was little to get excited about. We didn't see any large fish and not even large numbers of small ones. The highlight was probably getting up close to a small octopus in about 8-9m on the first day. Doing a photography course should slow things down to give you a chance to see whatever *is* there. I was certainly comfortable in a 5mm semi-dry, but whatever you wore in Malta should be fine.
